Our Jacksonville – UNC research site is located within the offices of Universal Neurological Care, a neurology group with a neurologist who is board certified in traumatic brain injury by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. as well as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Certified Physician Assistants. This location specializes in TBI, Alzheimer’ and memory disorders, neuromuscular disease/movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy/seizure disorders, stroke, headache disorders, and sleep disorders.

Meet Our Jacksonville – UNC Investigators

J. Mark Joyce, MD

Board certified in psychiatry, Dr. Joyce became an investigator for CNS Healthcare in 2003. He earned his medical degree from the University Of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency training at Emory University School of Medicine in 1992.

Nandita Jones, MD

Dr. Jones joined CNS Healthcare in October of 2008. She was trained at Columbia University in New York, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She is Board Certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.

Jeff Rommel, Psy.D.

Dr. Jeffrey Rommel joined CNS Healthcare in 2014 as a Clinical Psychologist. He conducts initial diagnostic evaluations and ratings on patients who enter our trials. He earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL, an American Psychological Association accredited program.
